Description

Our Sauvignon Blanc is grown in the sunny Hawke’s Bay and has delightful flavours of tropical and zesty citrus fruits. With a lively aromatic palate and a juicy long lasting finish, we love drinking this wine in the sun with a fresh Greek salad.

Colour: Soft lemon gold with light green hues.

Aroma: A tropical fruit-bowl of vibrant guava, passionfruit, gooseberry and citrus fruits.

Palate: A lively aromatic palate with crisp fruit purity and naturally ripe acidity. An attractive flinty character finishing long and refreshing.

Vineyard

The grapes for this wine were sourced from a number of vineyard sites in Hawke’s Bay in the Bridge Pa sub-region. Vintage 2022 provided the warmest weather on record in New Zealand. This along with favourable rain post-flowering set up a fantastic fruit crop for our 2022 wines.

Winemaker

Ant Mackenzie

Viticulture

An early and compact harvest along with hard work allowed our talented winemakers to produce fabulous wines that rival the last two years vintages with well balanced flavour and acidity.

Vinification

The fruit was gently pressed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected yeast strains to enhance the aromatic characteristics of the wine. It was then bottled young to preserve the freshness and lively fruit flavours.
